After winning the Mobility category and then the Cleantech Open France 2019, Josselin Priour, our CEO, flew to Los Angeles and finished on the podium of the Cleantech Open Global Forum international final in our category. A great example of French leadership in green technologies!
What isCleantech Open France?
“The Cleantech Open France is the reference ecosystem of the French Cleantech sector. The purpose of this association is to actively contribute to the energy, environmental and climate transition through the development of clean technologies. Its primary mission is to attract talent and capital in order to accelerate the marketing and industrialization of solutions with positive impacts on the environment.
Today, the Cleantech Open France ecosystem brings together more than 420 startups in France and over 100 public and private partners committed to the climate, energy and environmental transition for a more sustainable and inclusive society.
Each year, the winning startups of the programme can benefit from a European acceleration programme financed by the Climate Kic, subject to eligibility.

PowerUp was therefore among the many innovative start-ups that pitched in front of juries of experts during this 10th edition of the Cleantech Open France. A competition in two stages: a final by category from which we emerged winners in the Mobility category, then a grand national final that took place on November 6, during the CleanTech Open Forum.
After a final pitch to the assembly, the good news was revealed: it is PowerUp that will represent France in the United States at the Cleantech Open Global Forum! Josselin Priour, our CEO, testified that he had “a great deal of pressure on his shoulders to represent France in the United States” and that he intended to present “correctly, with great energy” the PowerUp solution!
Second step: to Los Angeles!
Only a few days after this victory, Josselin Priour finished the final rehearsals for his pitch on the plane.
At the Cleantech Open Global Forum in Los Angeles, there was a wide-ranging programme: a pitch competition for startups who had come to present Cleantech solutions from all over the world, as well as a startup village, presentations, B2B meetings with major players in American finance
and visits including the Los Angeles Center of Innovation (LACI).
Having come 3rd in the international final in our category, we are now very proud to bear the Cleantech Open label and to have been able to take our innovation and this green dynamic abroad! The Cleantech Open competition has enabled us to make relevant contacts, increase our visibility and strengthen the motivation of our teams to work even harder for sustainable innovations.
